Upcoming Events for May through August 2008

2008 Summer Reading Club	TEXAS READING CLUB JUBILEE Come join us for crafts, stories, and lots of fun this summer! Our annual Summer Reading Club Kick-Off will be Friday, June 6th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There will be games, inflatables, bounce house, and much more. Be sure to bring a friend so they can enjoy the fun too! For more information about the 2008 Summer Reading Club, check the Youth Services website.
Library Building Public Presentations	We have scheduled two presentations for all interested citizens of Denison. We would like to show you the new Library building concept, and would love to have your opinions and feedback! Sunday, May 18th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm in the Denison Public Library Meeting Room. Tuesday, May 20th from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the City Hall Annex Media Room located at 430 W. Chestnut in Denison.
TODDLE TIME	Beginning June 11th through July 30th, we are presenting a new program called Toddle Time. It is designed for toddlers and their parents/guardians. It will be on Wednesdays from 10:00 am -10:30 am. For more information on this program, contact Joyce Ullah at (903) 465-1797 x22.
READ TO WIN!	This reading program is for children up to 5 years old and takes place every Thursday at 11:00 am in the Meeting Room. Beginning September 27th, we will also have a session every Thursday afternoon at 1:00 pm. For more information, contact Cindi Harlow.
Denison Genealogical Society	The Denison Genealogical Society meets at the Denison Library the last Wednesday of each month from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. For more information about the organization and local genealogy, contact Helen Eller.

Every Child Ready to Read	Every parent wants their child to be successful. This program teaches the necessary steps for parents and guardians to take to achieve this. For more information, click on the link below Every Child Ready to Read * These are not children programs, but a training workshop for parents. No child care provided.
DHS Alumni	The Denison High School Alumni will meet in the Meeting Room of the Denison Public Library the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
FREE GED Classes!	Grayson County College is offering *FREE* GED classes! For more information, follow this link: GED
MEMORIAL DAY	The Denison Public Library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Sunday, May 25th and Monday, May 26th. We will then be closing at 7:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays until after Labor Day.
