Fall 2007 Calendar of Events

Read to Win	Read-to-Win is a reading readiness program for children 18 months to 5 years old, held in the Sherman Public Library Community Room. Join us from 10am to 11am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For more information about children's programs visit the Sherman Public Library Children's Activities page.
Basic Internet Classes	Wednesdays, beginning again in January, the 9 & 23 at 9:30am and 2:30pm. Sign up for classes at the Service Desk or call the Sherman Public Library at 903-892-7240.
Readers Forum	Meets on the third Monday of each month at 1:30pm in the Rare Books Room of the Sherman Public Library. The titles of the books to be discussed are posted by the check out desk. See the Friends of the Sherman Public Library Page for more information on this and other reading groups.
Fall Book Sale 2007	The Annual Fall Book Sale will be held on the third Saturday in September. Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 8am to 4pm. For more information visit the Friends of the Sherman Public Library page.
Fall Book Reviews Fall Book Reviews Fall Book Reviews	Book Review Programs begin at 11:45am in the Hope Waller Community Room of the Sherman Public Library. A light lunch will be served prior to each program. The following dates have been reserved for book reviews: Wednesday, November 7, 2007: Dr. Cherry Cunningham will review Janet Evanovich's book One for the Money. Wednesday, December 5, 2007: Margaret McCord will review a book to be announced at a later date. Call the Sherman Public Library at 903-892-7240 for reservations or visit the library's Service Desk. Authorfest	Author Bruce Hale will be visiting the Sherman Public Library on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Mark your calendars, you don't want to miss this author! He will be in the Hope Waller Community Room from 7 to 9pm.
Small Business Administration Seminar	The Small Business Administration will hold a seminar at the Sherman Public Library on Saturday, November 17, 2007. Call us at 892-7240 or 903-892-7344 for more information.
Gifts, Donations & Memorials	Did you know... ....You can donate aluminum cans to the library to help purchase new books for the Children's Department? Visit the Sherman Public Library Children's Activities page for more details. ....You can donate a book in memory or in honor of somebody? Visit the Friends of the Sherman Public Library Page for more details. ....You can donate funds for new children's books to the Sherman Public Library on your water bill? Check it out! A new donation box has been added to the City of Sherman water bill. Please consider donating $1.00 a month towards new materials for our youngsters.
