About Sherman Public Library
The mission of the Sherman Public Library is to enlighten, enrich, and empower every citizen by promoting free and easy access to information, and by encouraging reading and the use of modern technology in the pursuit of lifelong learning.
Reading readiness program for children two to five years of age Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Due to other library commitments there will be some days the Read to Win will not meet. Please feel free to attend one of the other days that week. See you there!!
The Reference department provides material and assistance with information needs on a variety of topics. The collection includes non-circulating books, current and retrospective periodicals, microfilm and microfiche, Internet access, local history and genealogy. The reference department also assists with inter-library loans.
One-on-one literacy tutoring is available.
The library hosts/sponsors various activities throughout the year. Among these activities are book reviews, children's author visit, pajama story time, and summer reading program for children. Flyers on upcoming activities may be obtained at the library.
